The Color of Bruises

The Color of Bruises

This is a collection of uncomfortable truths. In my opinion, those are the truths that most need to be told, and most need to be revealed. Silence is not just the wall that needs to be toppled by the victims but by the society that surrounds them. We are too likely to be wrapped in our own fears and indifference many times to act with true compassion. Terri’s short glimpses into the trials and fears of the ‘others’ in our lives will touch you, but more importantly, help you break through any reluctance you may have to move toward victims rather than ignoring or shunning them. Revelation is the mission of all poetry and Terri has accomplished that mission completely in the volume.
